On Wednesday, May 2, at Churchhill Downs the post position draw will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. ET and be able to be veiwed NBC Sports Network.
The majority of horses that have won the Kentucky Derby had the inside track. Upon visiting the derby's website, you can see which post positions have had the best luck.
The post positions that have succeed the most are No. 1, No. 4, No. 5, No. 8 and No. 10. After the 10th spot, the number of wins is a significant drop off.
Last year's Kentucky Derby winner came from post position No. 16, so of course it isn't impossible to win from out there, but it is much harder.
Keep an eye on which positions the top horses, such as Union Rags, Creative Cause and Bodemeister, end up being placed at. Churchill Downs

LOUISVILLE, KY (April28th, 2012) - Evolution Fight League MMA takes over Expo Five for "FirstBlood" with special Guest Chris "Lights Out" Lytle of the UFC.They bring a loaded fight card, 36 fights making for 18 fights. Fighters arecoming from four different states and some home town guys trying to make theirnames for themself in MMA. Doors open at 7pm, general admission is $25 in advance $30 at the door, VIP seating is $40, and children under 12 are free with a parent.
Special Guest Chris"Lights Out" Lytle is UFC coming from him hometown of Indianapolis.Lytle was prominently featured as a welterweight on The Ultimate Fighter 4: The Comeback. InChris's MMA and boxing career he was never knocked out or submitted. Chris won ten UFCfight bonuses, the most in UFC history, including six fights of the NightHonors, three Submissions of the Night Honors, and one Knockout of the NightHonors.

Alysia Wood is one of the bright new faces to come out of the strong Seattle comedy scene.
Her CD, Princess, was released by Grammy award-winning producer, Dan Schlissel. She joins an impressive list of artists recorded by Stand Up! Records (including Lewis Black, David Cross, Patton Oswalt, Marc Maron).
The Louisiana native has settled in Los Angeles where she caught the attention of the legendary founder of the Improv chain, Budd Friedman. He bestowed the title of “America’s Next Funniest” comedian upon her at Harrah’s Improv in Las Vegas in 2010. The competition was sponsored by the DVD release of the movie, “Funny People”, and ijoke.com. In addition, Alysia was a finalist in many more competitions, including the California’s Funniest Female Competition.
She was also selected as a Hot Comedian by Campus Activities Magazine. College audiences agree, “Wood can turn almost anything into a joke.”
National Lampoon Comedy Radio on XM calls her “Hysterical!” and constantly airs her sound bites. She appears on the prestigious, nationally-syndicated show “Bob & Tom“, where her material has been complimented as “well-written… well-structured.”
She is also a contributing writer for internet columns and a frequent guest on many podcasts.
As an actress, she is currently playing “the wife” on a Laugh Spin (formerly Punchline Magazine) original series, “Back Porch Wisdom”. She also plays Brett’s Mom in the upcoming movie, “Dangerous”.
