The 24th Bardstown Road Aglow lights up this weekend

If you don't get worn out on the First Friday Trolley Hope, get the shopping done and over with in one night and enjoy December without the hassle of last minute nonsense.

Saturday from Taylorsville Road to Lexington Road, merchants will pop open their doors and invite the city in for an evening of shopping, dining, discounts, and more for Bardstown Road AGLOW, a twenty four year tradition.

Evidently, Santa has traded in his sleigh for "The Pool Party Express" and will be cruising up and down the road with elves in tow. A planned stop at the Bearnos in the Highlands at 6pm allows for the kiddos to get their pictures snapped. Proceeds from the "Highlands Winter Wonderland" benefit the wonderful Gilda's Club of Louisville

Old Louisville opens up for the Holiday House Tour

Floral designer showcase, shopping, and Victorian Tea highight the activities of the popular annual event.

The 33rd Annual Old Louisville Holiday House Tour is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, December 5-6, from noon until 6 pm. The 2009 tour, presented by the Old Louisville Information Center, features seven Old Louisville homes, select Bed & Breakfast Inns, and The Puritan.

Santa Stops in Louisville

2008 marks Fifth Season of “Christmas Tree Lane” at Waterfront Park

The performance at retail is still up in the air for the Christmas season, but tree purveyors at Waterfront Park feel confident.

On November 28, the fifth annual “Christmas Tree Lane” will open for business and Louisvillians will enjoy a continuing tradition of purchasing their Christmas Trees downtown at Louisville Waterfront Park.   Local vendors Tommy Thompson and Gary Jecker look forward to another very successful year selling many varieties of trees, wreaths and other holiday greenery.  Both vendors anticipate that the time-honored tradition of the family tree will outshine concerns for a slow economy.   More families are expected to remain home this holiday season and holiday decorating will play an impor
