Take TARC buses to and from Churchill Downs [Kentucky Derby]

Four routes will take you within walking distance of the track on Oaks and Derby days

From the fine folks at the Transit Authority of River City (TARC):

TARC will provide service to Churchill Downs (700 Central Ave.) for the Kentucky Oaks and Derby on four routes that normally travel within walking distance of Churchill Downs.

Service will be available at the regularly scheduled times on all routes for the usual fare of $1.50. The following routes travel near Churchill Downs:

TARC announces special downtown service for Thunder [Thunder Over Louisville]

Taking public transportation to Thunder can save you time--and introduce you to some interesting folks (like the Galt House employee who was drinking in the back of my bus last year).

TARC will provide special service to downtown for Thunder Over Louisville on Saturday, April 17. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. buses will be added to the 14 routes that provide service into downtown Louisville. These buses will operate in between regularly scheduled service on these routes.
