86°F9:55 PM All things considered. You have to be happy with the draw for the Louisville Cardinals. The only complaint is that they have to travel 3,000 miles to play in Portland. While I certainly won't argue this fact, the last time Louisville went to the Final Four they were out West.
The Louisville Bats only mustered a run on five hits Friday as they fell to the Indianapolis Indians 4-1. The Bats fell to a season low 19 games under the .500 mark at 15-34. They’ve now lost four games in a row.
The Bats were behind the eight ball early as Indianapolis got a run in the first inning on a double from Alex Presley. Presley finished the game 3-for-4 and a home run short of the cycle.

Former big leaguer Dave Bush threw a complete game, five hit shutout against the Louisville Bats Tuesday as the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs won a pitcher’s duel 2-0. Bush outdueled Bats starter Brett Tomko, who went a season high seven innings giving up one run on four hits.
Yesterday, I took a look at the most winningest jockeys in the history of the Kentucky Derby. However in truth, that’s only part of the story in regards to the people involved in a horse winning the run for the roses. One can’t ignore the incredible importance and stress placed on the horse’s trainer. With that in mind, I thought I’d take some time to honor those individuals as I did with the jockeys previously.
Andres Blanco broke a 6-6 tie with a walk off solo home run in the 13th inning sending the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs to a 7-6 win over the Louisville Bats Monday night. The Iron Pigs denied the Bats (15-31) their first three game winning streak of the season to remain one game out of first in the International League North Division.
Kristopher Negron got the wild night started immediately as he led off the game with his fourth homer of the season.
