There’s a newer, bigger stadium here in the ‘Ville. It has sold out its first game since the pre-Kragthorpe days. There’s a new head coach who has fired up the fan base with a deep resume, ending with the Florida Gators. All signs would indicate it’s a great alignment for a W for the red birds...

The Louisville Bats built an early 4-1 lead at Indianapolis, but the Indians rallied for a 7-5 win at Victory Field on Thursday night. The loss dropped Louisville 1 1/2 games behind Columbus, which beat Toledo on Thursday, in the International League West with four games to play. The Bats, however, do lead Syracuse by three games in the IL wildcard race.

Louisville left-hander Ben Jukich, left, threw seven solid innings, giving up three hits while walking one and striking out seven over seven innings in the Bats' 8-3 win at Toledo on Wednesday night. The victory kept Louisville a half-game behind Columbus in the International League West, but gave them a four game lead over Syracuse in the IL wildcard race with five games to play.
