Need to get away from the city for a stress-free water adventure? An hour away is a great canoeing retreat.
It has been ridiculously hot in Louisville lately and with no water to find relief I was getting antsy. I decided that this past holiday weekend I needed to find a water activity close to Louisville. I found a website for Canoe Kentucky and decided to go for it.

The Louisville Bats swept a doubleheader from the Indianapolis Indians on Monday night, winning 6-0 and 1-0 in a pair of seven-inning games. It's the first time all season the Bats have had back-to-back shutouts.

Louisville won its third straight game Sunday, beating the Indianapolis Indians and giving Edinson Volquez his second victory with the Bats thanks to a three-run first inning.
