"Step into an exhibition where the boundaries of reality blur, with just enough tongue-in-cheek mixed in to take the edge off. " Those were the words used by Carol Mueller to describe the Weber Galleries AWFUL REVOLTING TERRIBLE HALLOWEEN CELEBRATION. However, it wasn't awful, revolting or terrible. It was a delightful treat of magnificent art, in Halloween style of course.

Guy Mendes is one of the best-known and well-respected photographers in the region. An opening reception for his exhibit 40/40 is planned for Friday, Oct. 14th at 5 p.m.
There are fake portraits and there are good portraits. A fake portrait is normally posed in front of a fake backdrop where everyone has a plastered smile and a deer in headlights expression. A good portrait is so intimate it can reveal a persons soul. Guy Mendes takes good portraits.
