Pink Droyd will leave the audience "Comfortably Numb", Saturday, January 14th`
Print this page

Pink Droyd takes Pink Floyd to a level of appreciation for the Floyd fan.  The eloquent and precise music unique to Floyd is not easily replicated, yet with a combined 30 years of Floyd experience, the members of Droyd deliver a performance that rivals that of the musical geniuses of Pink Floyd.  Pink Droid plays across the nation, yet hails from Fort Wayne, Indiana.  The performance will include lighting techniques one maybe remembers from a Floyd show back when listening to Floyd was synonymous with illegal substances.

As with any tribute band, reproduction is paramount.  The full cast of Pink Droyd is dedicated to providing guests with a true Pink Floyd experience. Kevin Quandt (Lead Vocals, Guitars, Talk Box) ensures the notes are perfect as well as voice replication. Daniel Fisher (Synthesizers, Organ, Piano, Vocals, Third Guitar, Trombone) is instrumental in recreating the fascinating world of Pink Floyd, playing many roles within the concert. Mike Lennon (Lead Guitar, Vocals) sounds amazing when belting out the vocally challenging lyrics. Nick Talevski (Drums, Percussion, FX) holds the power in the drum sticks as he keeps perfect time. Allen Smith (Bass, Vocals, Bass Synthesizer Pedals) also plays many roles in the experience, very challenging with duplicating distinctive sounds. Saxophonist, Stevie Lunn, adds timely accents to the music. A Pink Floyd show would be incomplete if videos and lighting did not accent the music, bringing the entirety of the event together.  Nick Schenkel, in charge of video production, is the man who imitates the complex graphics needed for a Floyd show

This tribute band is a must see for the true Floyd Fan, and you know who you are.  The show is scheduled for 10 pm (doors at 9 pm) at Headliner’s Music Hall.  Tickets are $10 and available here, http://headlinerslouisville.com or by calling 502/584-8088. This is an 18 and over show and a great opportunity to re-live Pink Floyd and introduce a younger generation to the love of those Floyd Boys.
