Though you may not associate music and dancing with Kentucky State Parks, that and more is on tap for New Year's Eve at several of our state resort parks. With lodging, restaurants, and scenic surroundings, celebrating at a park might add the right touch of new-ness to your New Year.
Some of the best packages look to be: Barren River State Resort Park with dinner by Chef Michael and romantic cabins with fireplaces, Dale Hollow with live music by the classic rock band Klassyc Tymes, dancing, dinner and breakfast, and Pine Mountain with a dinner buffet, dance, lodging, and New Year's day brunch package. Though there is no dancing, the catfish at the Jenny Wiley dinner buffet is tempting enough for me.
Not all state parks sell alcohol, so be sure to check if that is a requirement for your celebration.
