2 Chainz released his sophomore album, B.O.A.T.S.(Based on a T.R.U. Story II): It’s Me last Fall and promised to begin touring to promote the album in 2014. He stuck to his word and began touring this month, starting in Boston at the House of Blues. 2 Chainz chose Louisville and the Louisville Palace as one of his 21 stops he will be making in his 2014 2 Good to be T.R.U. tour. I think it's safe to say that Louisville is happy with that decision.
2 Chainz, a hip hop recording artist from Georgia, had great success with his first album, Based on a T.R.U. Story and is best known for his hit “I’m Different” and No Lie, as well as with his long dreads and gold chains. His sophomore album, B.O.A.T.S. II was just as popular as the first and hits “Feds Watching”, “Where U Been?” and “Used 2” have all had respectable achievement on the radio and iTunes downloads. Watch "Feds Watching" here.
2 Chainz will be accompanied by Pusha T, who I am ecstatic to know will be in the city. After G.O.O.D. Music's Pusha T’s album, “My Name Is My Name” released in October of last year, it has been an album that has been in my ‘recently played’ on iTunes since. He is a great performer and will likely win the crowd with his flawless style and rhythm. 2 Chainz will also be accompanied by Def Jam's hip hop and R & B singer August Alsina, who performed at Jim Porters in early November of 2013, which produced a great turn out.
With all the artists that are gracing our local venues this year, 2 Chainz and his accompanies will add to the list of artists Louisvillians can say they've had the chance to see live. Check out Ticketmaster for what other artists will be performing at the Louisville Palace this year and also at their new sister venue, Mercury Ballroom.
It is not to late to purchase tickets and they can be purchased here. Will you be in attendance?
