Local Aveda salons gathered together last night at Diamond Pub and Billiards off Baxter Avenue in support of Kentucky's Waterways Alliance. The night was filled with fun and fashion as well as a live and silent auction. This was the 5th time the event was hosted in Louisville, and the team had to make the decision to leave their old location at 21c due to the surplus of attendees.
The salons participated in a culturally themed fashion show featuring items they made from recycled and reclaimed materials in true Aveda fashion. There were 3 judges for the event, and let me tell you they had their work cut out for them. All the teams showcased incredible talent in the runway competition. The judging panel was made up of Project Runway contestant from Seasons 9 and 10 Gunnar Deatherage, Local award winning photographer Clay Cook, and Sophisticated Living's creator Bridget Williams. 5 awards were handed out in total, including awards for, of course, best hair.
