    Henry's Place American Bridge Wine Dinner on 9/19!

    Last month, I attended the 1st American Brigade wine dinner at Henry’s Place on Brownsboro Rd., where Chef Charles Reed serves up Pan-European creations that dazzle the senses. It was absolutely wonderful, and they will be having a 2nd wine dinner next Wednesday, the 19th!  Each elegant course will be paired with selections from the portfolio of Majestic Fine Wines.

    The enticing menu:

    1st

    Roasted Lamb Saddle St. Nicholas

    Heirloom Tomato Tart, Gorgonzola, and Natural Jus

    WindRacer Anderson Valley Pinot Noir, 2007

     

    2nd

    Brentwood Corn Consommé

    Jerez Cheese Straw

    Arrowood Sonoma Chardonnay, 2009

     

    3rd

    Persian Lime Sorbet

    Summer Melon, Sangria, and Sweet Lychee with Chocolate Mint

     

    4th

    Roasted Peking Duck Ballotine

    Summer Pole Beans, Beech Mushrooms, Caramelized Spaghetti Squash, and Pommes Boulangeres in Rainier Cherry and Duck Demi-Glace

    Buttermilk Blue Cornmeal-Coated and Fried, with Vidalia Onion Chutney and Butterfly Tuile Cracker
