On February 9th, 1964, four young musicians took the stage on the Ed Sullivan show and changed the world forever. The Beatles’ first appearance on U.S. television was a milestone in pop music that began the British Invasion. This year marks the 50th anniversary of that milestone, and, to celebrate, Abbey Road on the River is pulling out all the stops.

On February 7th, Abbey Road on the River will launch a special 3-day music event titled February ’64. February ’64 will be held at the Kentucky Center as well as the Muhammad Ali Center and will feature Beatles tribute bands and so much more.

Abbey Road on the River favorites BritBeat, The Jukebox, and the Steve Sizemore Group will perform as well as The Cryers, Nervous Melvin and the Mistakes, The Rigbys, the Johnny Doughnut Experience, the Traveling Beatleburys, Whiplash, Blue Jay Way, Mario Dasilva, Nick Peay, and more.

February ’64 will finish its run on February 9th with a special reenactment of the Beatles’ performances on the Ed Sullivan show by Beatles tribute band and fan favorite BritBeat.

Tickets start at only $19.64 and are selling quickly. Ticket and hotel information can be found on the Abbey Road on the River website. February ’64 is sure to be the perfect 50th anniversary celebration!
