Family and interpersonal relationships make things interesting for an English royal couple in The Lion in Winter. Henry II and wife Eleanor, in 1183 England, wonder how to handle their three sons, who want to be heirs to the throne. Meanwhile, King Philip of France has arrived to keep Henry aware of a treaty that would have said heir marry Philip's sister, who just happens to be Henry's mistress. Throw in a civil war, and one can expect a lot of situations to happen.
Kathi E.B. Ellis directed The Lion in Winter, which features Roger Fristoe as Henry and Susan McNeese Lynch as Eleanor.
