The snow may now be a semi-distant memory but the cold of winter seems to be here to stay. Sigh. However, as always, the heated indoor pool at Mary T. Meagher Aquatic Center is a constant 82 degrees.
So, to celebrate the last week of winter break and get a little taste of the upcoming summer season, why not grab the kids and head over to Mary T. Meagher on Thursday, January 3rd, at 6:30 for their January “Dive-in” Movie, “The Pirates! Band of Misfits?” “The Pirates! Band of Misfits” is the story of a pirate captain who sets out on a mission to defeat rivals Black Bellamy and Cutlass Liz for the Pirate of the Year Award. The race is on from Blood Island to the streets of Victorian London!
The movie is free and guests may bring a water tube (noodle), or can use one of the center’s water tubes on a first-come, first-served basis. Vending machines are also available on site.
So, escape the winter temperatures a bit and go on a pirate adventure, by way of the Mary T. Meagher Center, with your friends and family this Thursday.
Be sure to bring a towel. Leave the shoulder parrot at home, however. Ahoy!
