The Anime Club at the Louisville Free Public Library presents “Spiral: What are the Blade Children?” at the Highlands Branch Teen Outpost, 1250 Bardstown Road in the Mid-City Mall. This English-dubbed version of the original Japanese anime film—which in turn is based on the 15-volume shonen manga series—is a tale of intrigue that follows the character of Ayumu as he attempts to unravel the mystery of the cursed Blade Children after his brother vanishes while looking for them himself. Mayhem soon ensues, with a violent trail following the teenage Ayumu in his quest. The PG-14 film begins at 4:30 p.m. and teens age 14-19 are welcome; younger viewers will need a signed note of permission from their parents. Pretzels and cookies are provided, and attendees will have the opportunity to vote on the next meeting’s film at the end of the event. For more information, call Teen Librarian Peter Howard at 502-574-1640.
