Floyd Central High School will present three musicals in one during Apple Tree, which debuts tomorrow as part of the school's Studio One series.
Apple Tree will take place on Feb. 10, 11, 12, and 13 at 7 p.m. each night. Matinees, meanwhile, will go on Feb. 12 and 13 at 2 p.m. each day. All performances will occur in the Studio One Theatre at Floyd Central High School, located at 6575 Old Vincennes Road in Floyds Knobs, IN.
Tickets for each show are $12 for adults, $10 for senior citiens, and $8 for students. For the Saturday matinee show, tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be reserved by calling 812-542-2284.
Apple Tree will consist of three one-act musicals dealing with issues surrounding men, women, and temptation. In the first act, The Diary of Adam and Eve, features a take on Earth's first couple based on Mark Twain's Extracts From Adam's Diary.
The second act features The Lady or the Tiger, based on Frank Stockton's short story. Forbidden love is at the center of a relationship between a princess and a soldier. The king finds out and forces the princess to make a decision that will impact the soldier and her love.
Last, but not least, is Passionella, Jules Feiffer's slapstick comedy take on the classic Cinderella story. Ella is looking to become a movie star, but those dreams may derail a shot for love.
