Appropriate

Confrontation and unexpected moments following a discovery take place in Appropriate, which the Humana Festival will present starting this week.

Appropriate will take place at various times and dates from Mar. 5 until apr. 7.  All shows are to happen in the Pamela Brown Auditorium, located inside Actors Theatre at 316 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for each show range in price from $24-$59 per person, depending on the show and seat.  All tickets can be purchased at the Actors Theatre website, the Actors Theatre box office, or by calling the box office at 502-584-1205.  Keep in mind that the show is only recommended for those 16 and up due to strong language, adult situations, and sexual content.

Appropriate features a family coming to grips with a discovery found among a dead patriarch's items.  The three adult children must liquidate the items, but after the rather affecting discovery, the family will deal head on with issues of memory loss, repression, and inheritance.

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins created the production, which Gary Griffin directed.  Appropriate was completed in association with the Victory Gardens Theater.

Don't forget to check out the Humana Festival website for more information on Appropriate and other upcoming Humana Festival shows.
