The Louisville Sports commission will really be moving in April, this comes after a March filled with basketball and other such events.
In April, the commission plans on being just as busy though beginning with April 12-13’s Junior Volleyball Association World Challenge. This event welcomes youth to the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center to get involved in volleyball competition.
The commission follows that up with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association National Championships, a collection of games that looks to crown champions within Wheelchair Basketball. These events are set to kick off at the Hoops Multisport and Fitness Complex and Kentucky Exposition Center April 17th-21st.
Eddie Ford’s Kentucky Hoopfest follows this up April 26th-28th at the Kentucky Exposition Center, the Hoopfest is a tournament for boys and girls which is sure to breed fun and friendly competition.
Meanwhile sports don’t end with the Commission in April, the KFC Yum! Center will be welcoming the always exciting Professional Bull Riders: Built Ford Tough Tour April 13th and 14th.
The Kentucky Exposition Center has been working themselves to bring a variety of sporting events to the Derby City, beginning April 6th for a women’s football game, when Louisville’s own Derby City Dynamite squares off against Indiana’s Indy Crash team. The Dynamite will return to the center the 27th when they kickoff against the Cleveland Fusion.
And, basketball doesn’t end in March as the Exposition Center hosts the Kentucky Derby Festival Basketball Classic on the 19th.
Then, arena football returns to the center when the Kentucky Extreme goes head to head with the Marion Blue Racers April 21st. Six days later, on the 27th, the Extreme actually suits up for their next home game against the Dayton Sharks.
