Associated Press Kentucky player of the year and coach of the year announced [Sp

Associated Press Kentucky player of the year: Nathan Dieudonne from Trinity, 6-7 forward. Headed to Boston University next year. The senior Shamrock averaged 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists per game.

Associated Press Kentucky coach of the year: Mike Szabo from Trinity.  Coach Szabo squad finished 35-3 overall & claimed the school’s first ever state championship.

1st team:

  • Tamron Manning from Scott County. 6-5 guard.
  • Derek Willis from Bullitt East. 6-9 forward.
  • Charles Foster from Trinity. 6-1 guard.
  • Dominique Hawkins from Madison Central. 6-1 guard.
  • Nathan Dieudonne from Trinity, 6-7 forward.

2nd team:

  • Isaiah Ivey from Scott County. 6-3 guard.
  • Mekale McKay from Moore, 6-6 forward.
  • Quentin Snider from Ballard, 6-1 guard.
  • Darryl Hicks from Trinity. 6-4 guard.
  • Brandon Hatton from Dixie Heights. 6-2 guard.
  • Jonathan Barger from Knox Central. 6-0 guard.
  • Max Clemons from Pleasure Ridge Park. 6-4 Guard.
