Two local establishments have teamed up to offer Louisvillians a delicious night out on Frankfort Avenue. On August 12, Varanese Restaurant will host a four-course dinner paired with beers from Against the Grain Brewery.
Since February 2013, Varanese has often hosted wine and beer dinners, and they’ve been a hit with guests.
“They will continue until no one comes anymore,” said Jennifer Montgomery, a spokesperson for the restaurant. “Right now—they are very popular!”
That sad, tickets are $55 and don’t include tax and gratuity. Reservations are required and can be made by calling (502) 899-9904 or emailing email@example.com.
A reception starting at 6:30 will highlight ATG’s Brettish Bulldog Old Ale, and from there:
Bay and Pepper your Bretts Saison Ale
Low Country Beer Boil with Shrimp, Corn on the Cob, House-Made Sausage,
Marbled Potatoes and Pearl Onions
Citra Ass Down Double IPA
Crispy Flat Bread topped with Slow Roasted Pork, Smoked Gouda Cheese,
Creamy Slaw, Carolina BBQ and Fried Onion Straws
35k Milk Stout
Beer Braised Boneless Short Rib
Served with Roasted Carrot Puree, Charred Brocolini, Cauliflower and Potato Gratin
Finished with a Rich Pan Sauce
The Brown Note American Brown Ale
Chocolate & Caramel Cookie Bar
Topped with Pretzel Crumble and Sea Salt
Finished with Marshmallow Cream and Fresh Raspberries
Surely we’re giving you enough time to put some extra hours in at the gym, so you’ll have no qualms about thoroughly indulging (and learning how to pair beers in the process).
