Lo and behold, there was also an entire dessert table. The table was packed with chocolate trifle (vegetarian friendly!) cream puffs, carrot cake with heavy cream cheese icing, apple fritters, caramelized banana trifle. I do not generally like sugar for breakfast, but we sampled the very rich carrot cake and the light, marvelous banana trifle. One of the loveliest things about a buffet brunch is all the little nibbles of things to try. We felt the heavy blanket of sleep lift from our shoulder, and we left Ramsi's ready to tackle the day--or maybe just ready for a nap. It was still Sunday, after all.
There were families and big groups of friends eating all around us, all happy with the selections and even the price tag. Ramsi's Sunday brunch comes to around thirteen dollars for a single person, sixteen with a tip to the waitress. Brunch is served from 10:00am to 2:30 pm every Sunday. I'm probably going to spend the rest of this week slavering over the memory, and waiting in extreme anticipation for Sunday.
