The Louisville Bats are happy to announce that tickets for the 2008 Governors’ Cup Playoffs went sale Monday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. to the general public. Louisville will host games one and two of the first round of the playoffs Wednesday, September 3 and Thursday, September 4 with both games beginning at 7:05 p.m. Also, the Bats will have their $1 Hot Dog and $1 Pepsi promotion on September 3 and live music to go along with Budweiser’s “Game Time” Happy Hour September 4. If the Bats win their first round games, they will travel to the winner of the North Division/Wild Card series September 9 and 10, and Louisville Slugger Field would host games three through five (if necessary) September 11-13. Currently, Louisville leads Toledo by 12.0 games in the International League’s West Division with 18 games remaining. Listed below are possible playoff scenarios. IF LOUISVILLE WINS THE DIVISION First Round: 9/3: South Division Winner at Louisville 9/4: South Division Winner at Louisville 9/5: Louisville at South Division Winner 9/6: Louisville at South Division Winner (if necessary) 9/7: Louisville at South Division Winner (if necessary) Governor's Cup Finals: 9/9: Louisville at North Division/Wild Card Winner 9/10: Louisville at North Division/Wild Card Winner 9/11: North Division/Wild Card Winner at Louisville 9/12: North Division/Wild Card Winner at Louisville (if necessary) 9/13: North Division/Wild Card Winner at Louisville (if necessary)
