How I Became a Pirate

Ahoy, mateys!  Derby Dinner Playhouse presents the children's theatre productions of How I Became a Pirate beginning this Saturday.  

How I Became a Pirate performances will take place on Feb. 25, March 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31.  Breakfast performances will take place at 10 a.m. with buffet at 9 a.m.  Lunch performances will go on at 12 p.m. with buffet starting at 11 a.m.  All performances are to happen at Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Drive in Clarksville, IN.

Tickets for the lunch shows are $21 per person, and breakfast shows are $16 per person.  Tickets can be purchased at the box office, calling the box office at 812-288-8281, or going to the Derby Dinner Playhouse website.  More information on the show can also be found at the Derby Dinner website.

How I Became a Pirate is a musical that finds Jeremy taking the adventure of his life on board a pirate ship, learning the pirate ways while on the way to a spot to bury treasure.  Sail the seven seas with him, his mentor Captain Braid Beard, and a host of other shipmates.

The cast includes Henry Miller as Jeremy, J.R. Stuart as Captain Braid Beard, Bill Hanna as Swill the Pirate, John Vessels as Sharktooth, Kevin Crain as Pirate Pierre, David Myers as Max the Pirate, Frank Goodloe as Pirate Seymour Braunschwagger, and Kyle Braun as Pirate Scurvy Dog.  Matt Wallace directed the production.

Following How I Became a Pirate, the childrens theatre will present Rapunzel.  That production will take place in May.
