Bunbury presents original, introspective Homeless Holiday

Christmas Eve in Louisville, and a chance encounter with a homeless veteran brings about a change in a man's life in A Homeless Holiday, which Bunbury Theatre will present starting Friday.

Bunbury Theatre's artistic directior Juergen K. Tossmann's original work A Homeless Holiday places its audience in Louisville on Christmas Eve. Cyrus Pennybone has arrived in Louisville to see a Christmas musical.

On his way, however, he comes upon a homeless veteran, a clown, and a church choir. All of these people will bring about new wisdom for Pennybone. For audiences, its a chance to be introspective, have some humor, and enjoy the Christmas holiday.

A Homeless Holiday will take place on Dec. 6, 7, 11-14, and 18-21 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees will happen on Dec. 8 and 22 at 2:30 p.m. each day. The Dec. 15 show is to go on at 4:30 p.m. All performances will occur at the Henry Clay Theatre, located on the third floor of the Henry Clay Building at 604 S. Third Street in Old Louisville.

Tickets for each show are $21 for general admission, $18 for seniors 65 and over, $10 for children, and $10 for students with ID. All tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Bunbury Theatre website.

Following A Homeless Holiday, Bunbury Theatre will present Ages of the Moon. That production will open in February.
