Bunbury Theatre will bring to Louisville for the first time the Pulitzer Prize-winning Buried Child, which opens tonight.
Buried Child will take place on June 8, 9, 14-16, and 21-23 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinee shows will go on June 10, 17, and 24 at 2 p.m .each day. All performances are to happen at the Bunbury Theatre, located in the Henry Clay Building at 604 South Third Street in the Old Louisville section.
Tickets for each show are $21 for adults, $18 for seniors, and $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at the Bunbury Theatre website.
Buried Child features Vince and his girlfriend who arrive at the farmhouse home of his grandparents. His grandparents, however, can't remember who he is. Vince's father also can't recognize him. Only the memories of an unwanted child, buried somewhere unknown, are all they have left.
Sam Shepard created this Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The cast features Matt Orme, Carol Williams, Barrett Cooper, Andy Pyle, Julane Havens, Ty Leitner, and Dale Strange.
