This Saturday night, the Louisville Fire, Louisville’s Arena 2 football team, return to action to take on the Iowa Barnstormers at 7:05 PM at Freedom Hall.

The Louisville Fire Arena 2 football team will kick off their 2008 season this Saturday night at Brown Forman field at Freedom Hall at 7PM.  While the Fire will have returning players from last season, they will also be featuring 13 rookies on the roster this year.

Tommy Johnson just signed a 2-year extension as head coach of the team, as the 2007 season proved to be a record breaking year for the Louisville Fire.  The Fire led the league in offensive rushing yardage with 547 yards and 38 touchdowns. Veteran fullback Demetrius Forney paved the way by setting the new single season rushing mark at 243 yards on June 2 against Green Bay.

With players from Universities such as South Carolina, University of Louisville, Western Kentucky, Cincinnati and Texas State, the Louisville Fire boast a well-rounded and experienced roster to the field each night.  Former University of Louisville players Deriontae' Taylor and Jerry Spencer lace up for their college hometown as well.

The Louisville Fire feature 8 home games this year at Freedom Hall, and ticket prices range from $13- $30 a game, or season tickets can be purchased starting at $72.  They can be purchased before the game at the box office, or online at www.ticketmaster.com so come on out and support the Louisville Fire on their quest for another great season in 2008!
