To strike, or not to strike.  To express freely, or not.  Walden Theatre will present two shows, Waiting for Lefty and the Orson Welles-created His Honor the Mayor, for one price beginning on Thursday.

Waiting for Lefty will go on Feb. 24, 25, 26, Mar. 3, 4, and 5 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  Matinees will take place on Feb. 26 and March 5 at 2 p.m.  All performances will occur at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street in Louisville.

Tickets for the evening shows are $15 for adults, $10 for students, and $10 for seniors.  Matinee show tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $8 for seniors.  Tickets can be reserved by calling 502-589-0084.  More information on the show can be found at the Walden Theatre website.

Waiting for Lefty features taxi drivers thinking about going on strike.  The production is based on the issues of workers trust and lack therof against big business during the Great Depression.

Meanwhile, the Orson Welles-created His Honor the Mayor looks at the protection of the 1st Amendment's freedom of expression, which is found to be more difficult on the local level.

Among the shows still to come this season is the Young American Shakespeare Festival, featuring Othello, Antony and Cleopatra, and Twelfth Night.  The festival will take place in May.
