Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville football team will open one of its most anticipated football seasons when the players report to camp on August 5. The first practice is scheduled for August 6 at 3:30 p.m. The freshmen and newcomers will take the field first and the veterans will follow.
Practices are open to the public from August 6-13 and will be closed from August 14 through the Kentucky game.
The Cardinal players and coaches will conduct a FanFest on Friday, August 13 at 6:00 p.m. Fans are invited to watch practice and Cardinal football players will sign autographs for fans immediately following practice. Autographs will likely start around 8:00 p.m.

July 28: Johnny Unitas Kickoff Luncheon at the Clarion Hotel (Guest speaker Bobby Petrino)
Aug 5: Football players report.
Aug. 6: First practice at 3:30 p.m. on the practice fields.
Aug 13: Football Picture Day,Papa John's Stadium, 6:00p.m.-8:00 p.m. Posters, schedule cards, autographs and giveaways available to the public.Free admission to the public.
Aug 19: Kick-off Luncheon, Marriott Louisville Downtown. Tables of 10 are $300.00, individual tickets $30.00 The public is invited. For reservations please contact Patsy Wynne at 502-852-2941.
Sept. 2: UK/U of L Golf Challenge, Cardinal Club, Louisville, 1 p.m. $250 per player (lunch, golf, dinner, favor and prizes). For reservations, contact Patsy Wynne (502) 852-1974-2941.
