For the first time in Top Model history, Tyra Banks announces that girls must be 5’7” and under in order to become America's Next Top Model. After 12 cycles of a minimum height requirement of 5’7” – matching the industry standard – Banks and the casting director of The CW’s hit reality series America's Next Top Model are searching the U.S. for females, ages 18 to 27, of diverse backgrounds, shapes, sizes and with a height requirement of 5’7” and under.

“There have been top supermodels in the past that weren’t as tall as the industry demands, like fashion icon Kate Moss,” said Banks. “So we are changing up ‘Top Model’ for cycle 13 and making it a year for the shorter model!”

An open casting call for the show will be held at Gingerwood’s, 7611 Rose Island Road in Prospect, Kentucky on Saturday, March 14th from 11:00am-6:00pm. The CW Louisville, WBKI-TV is hosting the event, and complete information, registration forms and directions to Gingerwood’s in Prospect, Kentucky can be found on their web site, cwlouisville.com.

America's Next Top Model follows a group of young women of various backgrounds, shapes and sizes who live together and vie for a grand prize, which will include a modeling contract. The dramality exposes the transformation of everyday young women into potentially fierce top models, as they face weekly tests that determine who can make the cut. The finalists compete in a highly accelerated modeling boot camp, a crash course to modeling fame that includes mentoring by supermodel Tyra Banks and exposure to high-profile fashion industry gurus, all under 24-hour-a-day surveillance of the “America’s Next Top Model” cameras, which chronicle every move.

America's Next Top Model 12 featuring Cynthiana, Kentucky native Celia as one of the 13 aspiring models, premieres Wednesday, March 4 (8:00- 10:00 p.m. ET) on The CW Louisville, WBKI-TV. America's Next Top Model is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with Bankable Productions. Tyra Banks is the creator and executive producer along with Ken Mok (“Making the Band”) and Daniel Soiseth (“Hell’s Kitchen”).
