The band is playing and Santa is coming to Historic Gaslight Square by horse drawn carriage. Hundreds will come to explore downtown Jeffersontown and visit Santa's Village while listening to strolling carolers. The University of Louisville Community Band and Hopewell Presbyterian Church Choir will perform from the steps of City Hall. The entire community is invited to celebrate the season on Saturday, December 6, 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Watterson Trail will be closed between 5:45pm & 8:15pm.*
There will free carriage rides for the entire family along with complimentary hot chocolate, warm cider and many holiday treats will be served to tempt your taste buds generously provided by Wal-Mart.
Santa will arrive by horse drawn carriage to light up "Historic Gaslight Square" from the steps of City Hall at 6:15pm.
"Historic Gaslight Square is the perfect setting for celebrating the kick-off to the holiday season. Come enjoy time with Santa and enjoy the holiday cheer," says Mayor Clay Foreman.
