The Oldham County Thoroughbred Supporters is a new initiative designed to support the horse racing and Thoroughbred industry. The group is holding a meet-and-greet on Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Skylight Training Center, 2421 Liberty Lane in Goshen, KY, and invites all those interested in the horse industry to attend.
Oldham County is home to many horse farms including Hermitage Farm, Ashbourne Farm, and Moserwood Farm, to name a few. In addition to the farms, many industry supporters reside in the area. Many programs have been undertaken recently to get more people involved in the sport of horse racing and the Oldham County Thoroughbred Supporters is another group working toward that goal. The event aims to bring together fans, horsemen and other industry professionals in a casual and inviting atmosphere to swap stories and support the horse industry.
Join the group for barbecue and beverages from 4 – 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. The cost of the event is $20 per person at the door. Please RSVP to Del Lowell at 502-639-1498 or by email to Jo Ann Heppermann at firstname.lastname@example.org, or go to www.oldhamahead.org and click on “Contact Us.” Please include the names of those attending and whether you are a horseman or a fan.
