I just saw a pretty cool news flash that a local dude is getting his :30 commercial for Tide played nationally on "America's Got Talent" tomorrow night. Local creator, local actor, national audience. I like it! Here's the flash:

"Louisville filmmaker Saqib Siddik, 27, will get to see his ad on national TV. Tide selected the commercial he entered in the Tide To-Go Instant Stain Remover commercial contest. Saqib's 30-second spot, "You Never Listen," will air on TV nationwide on NBC tomorrow -- Wednesday, September 10, 2008 -- during "America's Got Talent" (8-10pm EST). The commercial features local actor Paras Tiwari. Saqib was a top-10 finalist nationally in the "My Talking Stain" contest sponsored by Tide and YouTube: www.youtube.com/mytalkingstain. Though he did not win the public voting competition, Tide company officials decided to air his commercial because they loved both the original concept and the funny performances from the actors."

Add Saqib's talent to that of Artie Dean Harris, one of the contestants on "Americas' Got Talent" and it becomes fairly obvious that we have a thriving creative community around here. But that's no secret is it?
