The Orphan of Chao will take place Feb. 2, 3, 4, and 5 at 8 p.m. each night. A matinee show will go on at 3 p.m. on Feb. 6.  All shows will occur in the U of L's Thrust Theatre, located at 2314 S. Floyd Street.

Tickets for the shwo are $15 and $10 for various seats, and students can get in for $6 per person.  Tickets can be purchased by going to the U of L box office, located in the Studio Arts Building, or by calling 502-852-6814.

The Orphan of Chao is based on a 13th century Chinese play but is set 100 years from now in a war and evironmentally-torn world. The play is also based on the culture of Yoruba in West Africa and introduces themes of family, sacrifice, and revenge, among others.
