A friend of mine suggested that I might know where all the good neighborhoods are for Christmas light gazing. Since I get out of the house rarely and spent MAYBE 30 minutes on my own house, I was at a loss for what to tell him. Then it occurred to me that nothing is better than the web for consolidating good information from a bunch of different places.
So, sound off, Louisville. We're all depending on you to deliver the Christmas bonus here.
Where are the great Christmas light displays around town?
Downtown La Grange
Downtown La Grange has a large light display put to music. You can tune into 96.3FM to hear. It is a great show and you can get out and walk through the lights. The shows are free and run everyday until Dec 31 from 6 to 10 I think. You can check the times on the Discover Downtown La Grange facebook page.http://www.facebook.com/#!/DiscoverLaGrange
Louisville Christmas Lights
OK, spent 2 1/2 hrs. last night looking at lights. Have several addresses to share. They are just spread out quite a bit across the city. Adams Run: 9600 Long Rifle Ln; Off Mile of Sunshine Dr., 6801 Melon Ct.; 219 Blackburn Ave. off Frankfort and Hillcrest; Windemere Place near 7804 Stonewood Ct.; and I hear Woodmont subdivision is good, but didn't make it there, near 4120 Woodmont Park Ln. Merry Christmas!
