You went in for New Release Tuesdays. You got sweaty at the live in-store performances. And you stood in line for hours the last weekend of November for that last chance. Now you have yet another chance to get a piece of ear X-tacy, but this is it. Really.
In the “final blowout sale,” to be held this coming Thursday, December 22 from noon to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, December 23 from noon to 7:00 p.m., everything will be on the block: music, displays and fixtures—but know that all sales will be final and conducted in cash only. Don’t have the budget for your own listening station? All used vinyl, CDs and DVDS will be a buck each, and all new vinyl, CDs, DVDs and merchandise (including some choice USB turntables, headphones and audio accessories) will be at least half off.
Crying wolf? Not so, says ear X-tacy. “Seriously, this is really the last time.” And what with an AVAILABLE sign in the window and an expiring lease on John Timmons’ home away from home, we have no reason to believe this could be a monthly event…although it would be really cool if it were.
Once again, ear X-tacy is located at 2226 Bardstown Road, just south of the Douglass Loop. At least for the next couple of days.
