Call University of Louisville senior point guard Peyton Siva an All-American. The publication Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook 2012-13 recognizes what Cardinal fans already know: Siva’s awfully good, using his quickness to drive to the hoop, then kick out a flashy pass. And when that’s not available, his ability to finish with a dunk can blow the roof off the KFC Yum! Center.
The Most Outstanding Player of the Big East Championship tournament is joined on the Blue Ribbon All-American team by Indiana’s Cody Zeller, Doug McDermott from Creighton, Florida State’s Michael Snaer and Deshaun Thomas of Ohio State.
The 21 year old sociology major returns to lead a talented Cardinal squad that earned a trip to last season's Final Four where he was named to the NCAA West Regional all-tournament team by averaging nearly 14 points and 6 assists a game. Draft Express currently projects Siva as a second round pick for the 2013 NBA draft.
