Comedian Jake Iannarino returns to the Louisville Improv on Friday, April 20. He will also be recording his podcast, The Reprobate Travelcast, before the show.
The last time that I saw Jake Iannarino at the Improv, he was the feature (middle) act and warmed the crowd up for the headliner by doing mostly crowd work. I was impressed by his laid back demeanor and quick wit. The two traits seemed almost to contradict each other. The crowd got a little wild at one point, but he stayed in control. You can read more about that in this review.
Jake is from Ohio; he is also an actor and avid traveler who has globe trotted all over the United States, Thailand, Cambodia, and Japan. He keeps people up to date with his wild journeys and travel tales at his web site. He's also been on television and in movies like The Animal and The Hot Chick. He has most recently performed in Louisville with Steve O and Dan Cummins.
He's headed our way Friday to headline a special 4/20 show, which is a perfect fit for this avid pot fan. Tickets are just $4.20 (with two drink minimum). Tickets can be purchased online at The Improv web site. The show starts at 8 p.m. Jake promises to bring the "thunder".
"Louisville is my second home and one of my favorite cities in the world," he said. "Friday night at the Improv? I can't think of a better way to lead into Thunder [Over Louisville]. I might even get naked on stage, who knows?"
