Bodies Human: Anatomy in Motion Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center 1860 Mellwood Ave. Christ may not have been made of flesh, but the 100 real human specimens on display at this exhibit were. Tickets are $15 and children 13 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult (probably because of the dead bodies and such). The exhibit runs through June 21. Louisville Bats April 10 (7:05 p.m.), 11 (6:15 p.m.), 12 (1:15 p.m.) Louisville Slugger Field 401 E. Main Street As I mentioned yesterday, the Bats open their season with a four-game series against the Columbus Clippers this weekend. The weather should be great for the games on Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully the Bats will bounce back from the Clipper's 12-4 smackdown in the season opener. Italian Pasta Party April 10, 7:30 p.m. The Wine Studio 621 W. Magnolia Ave. Enjoy original, seasonal homemade pastas and a tasting flight of Italian wines at The Wine Studio. A three-course pasta dinner, including bruschetta and charcuterie, and a flight of wines will set you back $45. Sure, it's a little more expensive than Buca di Beppo, but can you put a price on a great Italian meal that doesn't leave you with the gurglies? Call (502) 817-7936 to RSVP. Kentucky Avenue Easter Parade April 11, 11:30 a.m. Frankfort Avenue from Stilz to Haldeman The Frankfort Avenue Business Association is sponsoring this family event, which features the Easter bunny, "lots of free candy," antique cars, marching bands, floats and---most importantly---the Shriners. Author Kim Richardson April 11, 3 p.m. Carmichael's Bookstore 2720 Frankfort Ave Celebrate Easter weekend by listening to local author Kim Richardson discuss "institutional abuse at the hand of Catholic nuns and a priest at the St. Thomas St. Vincent Orphanage in Anchorage, Kentucky during the 1960s" from her memoir The Unbreakable Child at Carmichael's Books. Easter brunch April 12 Just a reminder, as I covered this topic earlier in the week too, but some of Louisville's best restaurants still have open tables for Easter brunch on Sunday morning. Area Christian churches are probably doing something special that morning too, but you'll have to check elsewhere for details. Bloody Marys and egg sandwiches will get me out of bed. A sermon? Not so much. (Photo: Flickr/Sister72)
