Crosswords and strangers on Little Colonel's train

2 Across

Opposites get to know each other through trains and crosswords in 2 Across, which opens at Little Colonel Playhouse on Thursday.

The 2 Across performances will occur on Feb. 8, 9, 15, and 16 at 8 p.m. each night.  Matinees will go on Feb. 10 and 17 at 2:30 p.m. each day.  All performances are to take place at Little Colonel Playhouse, located at 302 Mount Mercy Drive in Pewee Valley, KY.

Tickets for each show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $12 for students.  All tickets can be purchased at the Little Colonel Playhouse box office.  Keep in mind Little Colonel Playhouse does not accept credit cards.

The production 2 Across features two strangers from the metaphorical opposite side of the tracks on a San Francisco BART train early in the morning.  One person is an unemployed free spirit, the other an organized psychologist.  Both attempt crosswords on the train, one that the free-spirit quits easily.  This leads to a back-and-forth on each other's values with the unintended result of being swayed by the views.

George Robert Bailey directed 2 Across, which features Kathy Norton and Sean Childress.  More information on the show can be found at the Little Colonel Playhouse website.

Following 2 Across, Little Colonel Playhouse will present Murder in Green Meadows.  That production will go on in April.
