David Byrne & St. Vincent will be coming to the Kentucky Center for the Performing Art's Whitney Hall on Thursday, July 2. This is a major win for Louisville music lovers and made possible by WFPK 91.9. David Byrne & St. Vincent is a pop/rock group built around a brass band rather than a typical rock ensemble that boasts African and Latin rhythms. Their first album together, Love This Giant, was released in 2012. Live shows have been described as “wild and witty” (The Sydney Morning Herald) and “convention-defying” (The Washington Post).

David Byrne (from Talking Heads) and Annie Clark (performing and recording as St. Vincent) started collaborating in 2009 after being asked by Housing Works to write and perform a night of new music for charity. After three years they finally completed their album, Love This Giant, and went on their first tour this past fall.
