Five Southern women, friends for many years, come together for a weekend every summer to keep their friendships alive in The Dixie Swim Club. The show features four of those weekends over a 35 year period. In these get-togehters, there are no boyfriends, no kids, no outside issues that interfere with them. That is, until fate steps in and tests the strength of their friendship.
The Dixie Swim Club cast includes Janet Essenpreis, Rita Thomas, Jill Kelly, Michelle Johnson, and Tina Jo Wallace. Bekki Jo Schneider directed the production.
During The Dixie Swim Club's run, Derby Dinner Playhouse will also present the children's theatre production of Rapunzel. The tale of a girl with extremely long hair will begin its run this Saturday. More information on the show can be found at the Derby Dinner Playhouse
