Enjoy a night of Drinks, Dinner, Dancing and Dice for a good cause!
The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation – the Derby Festival’s charitable arm – will hold its annual Fall Extravaganza on Nov. 14 in the Grand Ballroom of the Galt House East.
The KDF Foundation is partnering this year with the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) on the second annual fund raiser. YPAL is the 2nd oldest Young Professionals group in the country. The organization is celebration its 10 year anniversary this year by holding a food drive challenge. As part of this partnership, KDFF is asking guests to bring canned goods to the event for the food drive, which will help benefit Kentucky Harvesters and Dare to Care.
“We’re very excited about partnering with a dynamic organization such as YPAL to help raise money for a very worthy cause,” said Wendy Jacob, Chair of the Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation. “This will be a wonderful evening of entertainment that should get everyone in the mood for the holiday season, as well as helping the less fortunate in our community.”
Cocktails will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 and dancing to the legendary Monarchs at 10:30. A Monte Carlo casino will be open from 7:30 to 10:30. Tickets are $125 per person and a canned good; corporate tables are $1,500. For tickets or more information, call (502) 584-3378. Tickets can also be ordered online www.kdf.org. The inaugural Fall Extravaganza event in 2008 raised more than $9,000 for the Foundation.
The Kentucky Derby Festival Foundation, a 501 C 3 not-for-profit charity, receives and manages charitable contributions on behalf of the Kentucky Derby Festival, Inc., its supporters and the general public.
