Dubai Majesty with Jamie Theriot aboard won the $1 million Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Sprint yesterday at historic Churchill Downs over the John Sadler-trained Switch and jockey Joel Rosario.

Theriot was elated with the victory. After only three prior starts, he earned his first Breeders' Cup win and gave conditioner Bret Calhoun a first victory as well.

"This is a big first for me after 13 years of riding, working seven days a week," Theriot said. "She broke like a shot and put me in a perfect stalking position."

He continued, "The speed cleared me and I was going just great. She was well within herself. On the turn, she took a deep breath and grabbed me and took me to the lead. When we made the quarter pole, I said, 'That's it. I ain't gonna get beat today.'"

Dubai Majesty returned $19.20, $9.20, and $6.00. Switch paid $8.80 and $5.80. Evening Jewel with jockey Victor Espinoza paid $5.60 to show.
