Wranglers Campground Riding Stable, located in the Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area, is now reopened for the season. The Riding Stable has new managers, James and Deborah Upton of Rocking U, offers guided trail rides through the end of October.
Families are encouraged to come and enjoy guided trail rides and experience the many beautiful trails from horseback at Land Between The Lakes.
Wranglers Riding Stable is open seven days a week from 9 am to 4 pm. Trail rides leave on the hour every day with a lunch break between 12-1 pm. Rides can be arranged for up to 15 people at a time, ages 6 and up. Pony rides are available for ages 6 and under in the corral. Rocking U provides protective helmets for children ages 12 and under to wear.
The cost is $18 for a 45 minute ride and $30 for an hour and half long ride. Rocking U accepts cash, personal checks, and travelers checks. For more information about trail rides or to book a reservation call Rocking U at 270-924-2211.
The Joining Forces initiative, in support of our nation’s service members and their families, is now offering a new annual pass for active duty military service men and women, the new military version of the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreation Lands Annual Pass. The Military Pass grants free access to more than 2000 national parks, wildlife refuges, national forests, and other public lands around the nation. Land Between The Lakes accepts these passes for free admission to The Homeplace, Golden Pond Planetarium, Woodlands Nature Station. The military pass admits the pass holder and three other individuals free of charge. Special Events are excluded from free admission by use of the military pass. You can get your military pass at Land Between The Lakes at the Golden Pond Visitor Center, and the North and South Welcome Stations.
