Bluegrass Video of Middletown, Ky., has released its latest DVD project: "The Louisville Concours d'Elegance.”  The first-time event, held at historic Churchill Downs in Louisville on October 4-5, was a stylish showcase of some of the rarest, most elegant collector cars in the nation.

More than 3,000 people from throughout the nation attended.  The Concours was a benefit for Brooklawn Child & Family Services in Louisville.

The DVD coverage of the Concours begins with the opening night gala and dinner activities in the paddock area of Churchill Downs, showcasing selected autos from more than 200 participating exhibitors. Cocktails and an art auction on Millionaires Row preceded dinner, with Churchill Downs’ bugler Steve Buttleman serenading invitees with My Old Kentucky Home.  The famous Call to the Post was the summons for dinner.

The DVD shows the second day of activities, including an up-close look at the multitude of classic and contemporary autos and motorcycles displayed throughout the infield. Coverage continues with highlights from the infield fashion show, the artist village and shoppes of the Concours. The DVD also covers crystal award winners and celebration footage from the winner's circle in the shadow of the famous finish line at Churchill Downs.

Steve Hines, owner and editor at Bluegrass Video, edited more than 12 hours of raw footage into this 30-minute DVD.

"The DVD captures the beauty and glamour that is such a part of these events. With unbelievable cars, combined with a classic backdrop of a legendary racetrack, I tried to reproduce the grandeur and beauty that this Concours represents,” Hines said.

The DVD can be purchased for $24.95, with a portion of proceeds donated to Brooklawn.

DVDs can be purchased through a variety of sources. Online orders can be made through www.bluegrassvideo.com or by contacting Bluegrass Video directly at 502-245-5868.
