One of Louisville’s favorite BBQ smokehouse restaurants is expanding and putting down new roots at 1202 Bardstown Road.Frankfort Avenue Beer Depot’s Rob Alvey says they hope to have the building open and ready for business by the 1st of March… just in time for everyone to break out their Spring Fever! Rob and his crew will be bringing over FABD’s menu, their extensive beer selection and the great atmosphere that makes it one of a kind. Even though they don’t have enough real estate for their trademark putt-putt course and ping pong tables, patrons will not be disappointed by the experience of some of the best pulled pork and chicken in the city!
The new location is at the site of the former N V Tavern, next to The Wine Market. Owners are currently working on some aesthetic improvements including a new paint job, new equipment and new furnishings.Alvey says outdoor seating will be available, and they plan to cater to the late night crowd by keeping the kitchen open late. Although the final working hours have yet to be finalized, they will be open until 4 am on weekends and will be open for lunchtime during the week!
Keep your calendars open for the grand opening and your eyes peeled as you travel down Bardstown Road for the next great thing to happen in the Highlands: FABD!
