Last night, The Younger Woman's Club held their sixth annual "Fall Into Fabulous" fashion show at The Ice House on 217 East Main Street, proceeds of the event benefiting the YWC's Charity Campaign. The theme for 2012 was "Shop Local," from hors d'oeuvres by Crushed Ice Events and complimentary cocktails from Heaven Hill Distilleries, to the boutique sales surrounding the runway -- featuring CaloSpa, Roobiee Red Tea, Sunny Daize, Zen SKYN Color Collection et al -- and the fashion show itself, where pieces from the likes of 15 Ounce Denim, Les Filles Boutique, Pink Julep and more enthralled those in attendance.
Prior to the show, members of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity collected donations throughout the venue, adding onto the income received from ticket sales, which were $45 for general admission, and $85 for VIP seating. Outside the venue, guests walked the red carpet, posing for Louisville.com's cameras while showing off their incredible style, ranging from leather vests and various prints to simple solids and lace.
YWC Lifestyles Chair and SKYN LOUNGE owner Erica McDowell emceed the fashionable extravaganza, where printed fabrics reigned over all others, whether it was a graphic body-conscious dress from 15 Ounce Denim, a plaid and floral fringed cape from Crush Boutique, or a metallic abstract piece from Sassy Fox. Metallics, sequins, lace, and hues muted and bold also made their way down the catwalk from Blink Boutique, Collections, Chartreuse Boutique, and Boutique Serendipity, with jewelry provided by Les Filles Boutique and Summer Eliason Jewelry.
