Fathom Events presents 'Bon Jovi: Inside Out'

Let me tell you, folks, this particular writing assignment has me feeling quite nostalgic. You see, I look back on my personal musical evolution with some fondness. While many people were lucky enough to have music-loving parents, mine were mostly indifferent, and so I was a bit stunted in my growth. I started late and had to learn by myself. A friend introduced me to Weird Al Yankovic in middle school, who I thought was hilarious. Listening to classic rock radio in the car with my dad, I began to recognize some of the songs from Yankovic's parodies, and from there I transitioned into a religious love of the music of the '70s and '80s. Yes, for a while there I thought Styx was God's gift to music. Of course, it was during this period in my life that I felt an ardent devotion for the subject of this article: Bon Jovi.

Tonight, Tuesday, various movie theaters around the city will present a live broadcast of Fathom Events' Bon Jovi: Inside Out. It is essentially a concert video, but with some special twists. It is presented in split-screen format and features performances from three highly-acclaimed concert series: from their 12-night stay at O2 in London, their performances at New Meadowland Stadium, and their shows from Madison Square Garden. The songs to be performed have been described as a “dream set,” featuring audience favorites sure to please attendees.

The show will also include a live broadcast from Times Square, in which Jon Bon Jovi and the boys will discuss their new upcoming album and subsequent tour, to take place next year.

Bon Jovi: Inside Out will be broadcast at 8:00 at New Albany 16 (300 Professional Ct.), Cinemark Tinseltown (4400 Towne Center Drive), and Rave Stonybrook (2745 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy.). Complete event information and advance ticket sales can be found at the Fathom Events website.
