Kids may be out of school for winter break, but that does not mean they should sit at home in front of a television. The JCC of Louisville is offering an “All the Things You Can Think” themed winter camp December 19-January 2.

”Each day is centered around a fun book. Our challenge will be to bring the books to life by solving a mystery or participating in science experiments with Mad Science,” says Julie Hollander, senior director of youth services. “Kids will also be active by trying to break Guinness World Records in jump rope and shooting hoops.”

All the Things You Can Think Camp is open to children in Preschool-5th grade with themed days ranging from “I Spy With My Little Eye” to “Science is All Around.” Camp is available from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Everyday includes sports, arts and crafts and a snack with swimming daily for children in Kindergarten –5th grade.

Specialty camps run for two or three days and are open to Kindergarten through 8th grade. The camps include digital photography and scrapbooking to recycled sculptures to Lego space adventures. Specialty camps run from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with extended day options available until 3 p.m. Snacks are provided.

About Roxane Haynes

I am a working mother of four kids, age five and under, this includes two singletons and a set of twins. When I say working, I mean that I stay at home with them, but work my butt off to take care of them and get the "usual" things done for our home. I also help my husband with our business when I can. B.K. (before kids) I worked in the Human Resource field. Stay At Home Mom is by far my favorite career choice to date.
